Andy Taing

Research Assistant

Andy Taing is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Society with a minor in Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has experience working as a Medical Assistant in Monterey Park, CA, where he supported low-income and uninsured patients in accessing care, including Medi-Cal enrollment. He is also a Youth Advisor with the American Red Cross, where he mentors high school students, teaches CPR and disaster preparedness, and promotes health equity. Currently, Andy is a certified National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) working in the greater Los Angeles area. His interests lie in bridging biomedical research and public health to expand healthcare accessibility, particularly for underserved communities.
