Our Referral Process
Attorneys seeking neuropsychological assessments for their clients can initiate the referral process by submitting a request via our secured email: SJCNadmin@mednet.ucla.edu
Please include the following information in your referral e-mail:
- Attorney’s Name: Name of the attorney representing the client/patient.
- Referral Question: A brief description of the concern (e.g., intellectual, developmental, neurocognitive, psychiatric concern, competency to stand trial, mental health diversion, etc.).
- Preferred Contact Method: The preferred method of contact for the referring party (telephone/e-mail).
Once the referral is received, a member of our clinical team will review the information provided and reach out to schedule a brief complimentary Zoom consultation (if appropriate). The purpose of the consultation is to clarify the referral question(s), verify if the referral aligns with our expertise, establish a timeline for services, and answer any initial inquiries.
If you may be moving forward with our services (following consultation), our administrative team will provide:
- Professional fee schedule
- Estimated service hours
- Tentative testing date(s)
